Toy and Game Inventors July Summer Camp

July 29, 2013 @ 9:00 am - August 2, 2013 @ 4:00 pm

This July, Story Planet is partnering with MakerKids and Young Inventor Challenge to host a summer camp.

At this Toy and Game Inventors Camp, kids aged 8-12, will get to experiment with creating their very own toy or game!

Toy and game experts will share the secrets of what makes a great toy or game, and will guide campers through the invention process – all the way from brainstorming to creating a prototype! You’ll get to physically create your own toy or game, which can involve electronic components like LEDs, motors, buzzers and 3D printed parts. Don’t worry if you’re not sure how these work, our inventor mentors will help you figure it out!

The camp runs July 29-August 2, 9 am to 4 pm. Most of the days will be spent at the Story Planet location at 1165 Bloor St. W. and 1 or 2 days at the MakerKids location at 2241 Dundas St. W.

If you could make a toy or game, what would it be? Become an inventor at our camp to start creating your masterpiece!

Please Note No prior knowledge or skills in making things or using tools? No problem-we’ll teach you what you need to know! Have questions? Email us at info@makerkids.ca.

Cost: $350
