“The Haunted Bunny Apocalypse” by Mekhi

It was late one night, and I was walking with my friends to the Jane and Finch Mall.

I realized that Skyzone was inside and I had never been there. I said to my friend, “There aren’t going to be any workers inside—we could sneak in!” I was excited and nervous at the same time because we would have to be very careful and very sneaky.

When we snuck in, the first thing that I saw was the block pit. The blocks were all purple and black and squishy.

There was a statue of a bunny behind us. I thought I saw it move and it was moving. It started to chase us. We ran out of Skyzone. We ran past the hat store, over to the door. We got outside and ran to the park. It was nighttime, so we couldn’t see properly, but we saw a shadow in the distance. It was the bunny.

We ran into the woods for fifty minutes. We took a little break sometimes, but we kept running. We didn’t even want to risk looking behind us. We ran for that long because you never know how fast a bunny is. We got tired and decided we were far enough away that we could stop and call the police.

We heard police sirens and followed the sound back to the street. We talked to the police, and they told us the bunny was from Brook Facility, a center for experiments. They told us the bunny had been an experiment and had escaped the facility.

The scientists wouldn’t even tell the police what the experiment was for because it was confidential. When they arrested the bunny, they gave it back to the scientists and put it back in the facility.

They locked up the bunny in a cell. No one ever knew, but the bunny was not just any old experiment. The bunny was the most powerful experiment and it melted the bars with its own hands.

This bunny could reproduce by itself making more bunnies and went on a rampage. They took over the world. They are immortal so they can’t die.
