The Children's Book Bank Jane & Finch connects families with free books and a love of reading. From their welcoming space at Yorkgate Mall, we run after-school and summer programs for kids and teens—meeting young people during the critical gaps when learning and creativity need the most support.

We’re partnering with youth writing centres from Victoria to Halifax: Alexandra Writers (Calgary), Story Studio (Victoria), Writers Exchange (Vancouver), Monster House (New Brunswick), and United for Literacy (Halifax). Together we’re collaborating on an online program bringing together young writers from across Canada meet to write, share, and inspire each other.

York University project celebrating newcomer youth, Singing Our Stories partnered with Story Planet to bring children and teens from African countries together around food and storytelling—cooking, writing, and publishing a cookbook filled with recipes and stories about family and home.

Connected North connects schools remote Indigenous communities with a vast array of free programming via satellite. Partnering with them was a no-brainer as Story Planet seeks to expand our reach to even more students facing barriers to access. In 2022–23 we worked with four schools hundreds of kilometres away—and we hope to expand to many more!
