SongMaker

This fun, exploratory series teaches students how to create their own songs. Over six workshops, students work with professional musicians to experiment with writing lyrics, singing, beat-making, and online tools.

Students finish this workshop with a recorded song and a deeper appreciation and understanding of the composing process.

Listen to a Song

Students work in small groups to write, perform, and record a song. Songs are collected into an album for sharing.

Watch a Music Video

Students are encouraged to extend their learning by creating a music video to go with their song!
